Nick Marvin is a keynote speaker, management consultant and non-executive director with over 20 years of experience, specialising in organisational transformation through high-performing teams.
Under Jack Bendat, he led the resurgence of the Perth Wildcats (PDF) in 2009, the demerger and privatisation of the National Basketball League (PDF) in 2013 and the re-launch of the Perth Lynx (the first team in Australia to pay female athletes a full-time wage | PDF) in 2015. In 2017, Andrew Forrest appointed him CEO of the Western Force and World Series Rugby.

One of WA’s leading sports administrators and the man who brought the Perth Wildcats back from the brink of shutting their doors to another period of success by making them the ‘Wiggles’ of sport. Served as chairman, managing director or CEO for some of Australia’s leading sporting icons.
Chairman National Basketball League
As non-executive director, led the privatisation of the National Basketball League in Australia and served as founding chairman until August 2015. Oversaw the re-negotiation of the league’s broadcast rights agreement with Network 10, provided corporate and management guidance assistance to NBL franchise clubs and the sale of the Illawarra Hawks licence.
Managing Director – Perth Wildcats
Appointed CEO and managing director of the Perth Wildcats in 2009. Turnaround of the organisation from sustained losses and almost a decade without a championship to its most successful era. Winning four national championships in eight years whilst posting consecutive profits. In 2011, the Wildcats moved from a 4,200 seat stadium to a 13,500 seat Arena which it regularly fills to capacity. It boasts the best attendances and television viewership in the country.
CEO World Series Rugby and Western Force
Appointed by Andrew Forrest to lead the establishment of a new Asia-Pacific Rugby Competition and the resurrection of the Western Force Rugby team in Western Australia in 2018. In it’s inaugural year WSR has presented a new style of rugby with unprecedented match-day entertainment attracting the highest attendances for the sport in the country and free-to-air terrestrial and digital broadcasts.
Managing Director – Perth Lynx
Pioneered the acquisition of the Perth Lynx, making them the first professional women’s team in Australia to employ their players as full-time athletes. Under new management, the team made its first post-season appearance since 2000 by qualifying for the Grand Final.
